Corteva has an exciting opportunity for a Training Technician to join our team at our Tipton, IN triple-crop production facility. The Tipton site has semi-autonomous work teams implemented, so this is the perfect site for top performing candidates who are looking to grow or launch their career. In this role, you will provide training to hourly and salaried employees to ensure all employees have a thorough understanding of Corteva's safety, continuous improvement, and quality standards and are able to apply learning's to their daily responsibilities. You will also have the opportunity to train location employees on continuous improvement as well as Quality Management System procedures. As the Training Specialist, you will be responsible for all aspects of the technical training requirements to include the development of new training materials, maintaining the training calendar, performing engaging, hands-on training, and coordinating training events.

What You'll Do:

  • Train employees on our Learning Management System platform - GROW-U as well as on our CAMS procedures.

  • Determine training needs and requirements for the location on the following topics: Safety, Health & Environment, Continuous Improvement,

  • Management System, and Process Work Instructions.

  • Credibly lead training, communication and education efforts, with enthusiasm, and energy.

  • Develop and implement hands-on, engaging training programs for employees on a variety of safety subjects along with effectiveness evaluation methods and auditing processes.

  • Perform related administrative duties, including taking safety meeting minutes, writing JSAs & SOPs & also trak employee training requirements.

  • Ensure the completeness and maintenance of all records, documents, or reports related to all assigned training.

  • Assist with preparation of reports, graphs, and presentation materials to communicate key safety statistics.

  • Welcome and onboard new employees and contractors to ensure a thorough understanding of Corteva policies and procedures.

  • Conduct site tours for interviewing or onboarding employees.

  • Reiterate and role model the importance of Corteva's Values and Living Safely.

  • Act as a stand-in Safety Coordinator and Improvement Coordinator when needed.

  • Act as liaison with Contract Labor Agencies regarding training requirements - communicate with and ensure contract agencies are training their employees on the required policies and procedures.

Qualifications

What Skills You Need:

  • You value working as a team, are proactive, communicate concerns, and are accepting of change.

  • Valid driver's license

  • You can work independently, multitask, and maintain an organized workplace.

  • You have your High School Diploma or GED.

  • You are seasoned in industrial training and have 2+ years of Safety Training experience in a Production, Continuous Improvement, Operations,

  • Manufacturing, or Agricultural industry/setting.

  • You have 2+ years of experience in Training and/or Facilitation is highly preferred

  • Willing and able to conduct training sessions on different shifts, if needed

  • You have experience with evaluating training effectiveness.

  • You have demonstrated skills in training, coaching, and leading others in a group setting.

  • You have the needed creativity to keep materials interesting and fresh and have proven your ability to translate complex technical information into easily understood training content.

  • You have strong computer skills and extensive MS Office experience.

  • You understand that delivering to our customers on-time keeps us viable and are willing and able to work overtime hours including weekend work required during seasonal peaks to support achieving those goals.

What Makes You Stand Out:

  • An Associate's Degree in a relevant field.

  • 5+ years of on-the-job or related Industrial Training, Manufacturing Training, or Safety Training experience.

  • OSHA 10-hr or 30-hr training certification.

  • LEAN Manufacturing or Six Sigma Experience.

  • Problem solving tool experience, like 5 Why's, Root Cause Failure Analysis, etc.

This positions is required to work in office 5 days a week.
