JOB SUMMARY

  • Repairs and maintains hospital machinery and mechanical equipment in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, blueprints and manufacturers’ specifications, using hand and power tools and precision-measuring and testing instruments. Observes mechanical devises in operation, disassembles equipment to repair and/or replace defective parts, and/or tests equipment to ensure devices are in good operating order.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND CORE COMPETENCIES

  • Education: High school education or equivalent (GED) required. Must be able to read and write English and perform mathematical calculations. Prefer specialized training of one to four years, apprenticeship of trade school courses with certificates in related areas.

  • Experience: Basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry, grounds work.
