Intertech Products, Inc. 3rd Shift Winder Operator in North Manchester, Indiana

Intertech Products is seeking 3rd Shift Winder Associate. All tasks associated with rewind operations on all re-winders, daily and weekly maintenance, quality, material handling, production paperwork, and waste removal

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Analyze work orders for requirements and to determine production activities. Assign activities or tasks to helpers. 2. Read job orders, or standard charts to determine product specifications, work holding arrangement, cutting speeds, feed rates, and cutting tools to be used. 3. Complete production paperwork noting start and stop times, downtime, raw material information. Paperwork can be done while machine is running. 4. Work rolls with sled and pushers to position and secure rolls in chucks. Thread machine with material. 5. Start and cycle machine to verify operation specified, move controls to adjust position and movement of tools during machine operation. 6. Visually check for correct profile, and check with all crew members for proper product appearance. 7. Moves controls, cams, and stops to set rotation speeds and feed rates and to control tool and work piece movement for specified operations. 8. Starts machine and moves controls to adjust positions and movements of tools during machine operation. 9. Feed products between feed rolls. 10. Verifies conformance of material to specifications. 11. Decides on station and timing of each operation to assure efficient use of tools and time. 12. Computes such data as dimensions, rotation speeds, and feed rates 13. Visually inspect material for defect and adjust machine variables as needed. Flag discrepant material. 14. Responsible for the quality of the product. Process owner of producing product to customer specifications. 15. May perform regular clean-up duties. 16. Must adhere to all Safety policy and procedures

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Perform routine maintenance on all equipment directly or indirectly related to the cell operation. 2. Perform changeovers and start-up operations. 3. Participate in idea program, collective system design and production meetings. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: a) Plant crane training and certification. b) Attention to detail in the workplace. c) Able to lift 10 lbs. (routinely) and 75 lbs. occasionally. d) Available for overtime, before and after shifts and weekends. e) Organized and able to read and follow instructions. Rotate and perform all positions and tasks within cell
