MIG Welder (Not Production Welding) - New Albany, Indiana
Job Description
We are looking for a skilled Welder to custom weld conveyor systems using Mig Welding. The candidate will start with a blueprint, gather the necessary materials, tac weld the parts together, then mig weld the parts. Following the mig weld, the candidate will grind the welds to a smooth finish.
Responsibilities
Custom welding conveyor systems using Mig Welding.
Starting with a blueprint to gather necessary materials.
Tac welding parts together.
Mig welding parts together.
Grinding welds to a smooth finish.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in Mig Welding.
Experience in fabricating.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
2-5 years of recent experience in a job shop environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in a fabrication shop that manufactures material handling systems or equipment.

Work Environment
The work environment is a fabrication shop that manufactures material handling systems, with a significant portion of the business focusing on airport conveyor systems. The shift hours are from 6:30am to 4:00pm Monday to Thursday, 6:30am to 10:30am on Friday, with overtime as needed from 10:30am to 2:30pm on Friday and 6:30am to 12:00pm on Saturday.
