Job Title: Quality Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support major customers by managing the entire quality process from customer complaints to resolution. This role involves close interaction with customers during on-site visits and through customer portals, understanding their issues, and ensuring effective follow-ups. The engineer will lead the containment process, problem-solving, and quality system documentation. This role requires managing over 10,000 parts for key accounts, adapting to varying complexity based on customer specifics. Responsibilities also include launching new products and processes, leading corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities aligned with our quality vision and strategy. The role is pivotal in developing and maintaining quality specifications, implementing evaluation methods, and leading annual certification processes.

Must Haves:

  • 3+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering role within an automotive or similar job shop type environment

  • Microsoft Office products (Especially Excel)

  • Experience working directly with customers

  • PPAP

  • Knowledge of IATF 16949 (International Standard for Automotive Quality Management Systems)

  • Knowledge of supplier issue rejections

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Indianapolis, Indiana.
