Conagra Brands - Indianapolis, home of Reddi Whip and Blue Bonnet, is looking to add to our team to help us meet the demands of our customers across the country. Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will work onsite at the Indianapolis, IN manufacturing plant on West 62nd St. You will develop and implement overall engineering strategies focused on capital projects and the safe and reliable operation of the site’s utilities infrastructure. You will develop vertical startup processes to ensure implementation of low loss production systems, provide solutions to technical problems and recommendations for improvements for the site. You will partner with Corporate Engineering to develop the capital plan and manage the Facilities and Outside Services expense budgets with our Facilities Manager and Plant Finance team.

What will you do?

• Assist the plant in establishing safety of all of our team members as the Plant's first objective.

• Lead the implementation of the capital plan.

• Foster a team-based environment while collaborating with the Plant in setting delineated roles, responsibilities and accountabilities consistent with our principles.

• Promote business literacy through education of important business issues and concepts.

• Partner with the Platform Engineering Director and team to resource projects.

• Partner with Plant Manager and Senior Leaders to develop long-term strategic vision and execution plan for our site.

• Support the Plant in conducting internal systems and regulatory audits.

• Lead the Early Management (EM) Pillar Team in the development of long and short-term goals for the Plant.

• Provide project and technical guidance and lead project teams that improve safety, quality, labor relations, sanitation, costs and customer service.

• Give work direction and coordinating mechanical and clerical activities in the maintenance department.

• Partner with EHS Team to ensure ammonia system PSM/RMP compliance through active participation on site’s PSM Committee.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.

• Five years' experience in food manufacturing

• Experience leading teams and collaborating with multiple manufacturing departments.

• Experience with refrigeration and ammonia.

• Flexibility with schedule to accommodate off shift and weekend requirements when needed.
