Position Summary
This position will work alongside City staff to accomplish certain work items on the 2017 work program that cannot be done without additional help, including the creation of "Required Documentation" lists for certificate of appropriateness applications and assistance in undertaking events and projects associated with the 50th Anniversary of the IHPC.
Position Responsibilities
Research "Documentation Lists" from other preservation commissions; assess the needs of the IHPC and its staff; create separate documents for each type of application, such as new construction, demolition, renovation, land use, etc.; create graphics for each document; assist staff in presenting the lists to the IHPC for approval. Assist staff with its daily responsibilities.
Qualifications
Graduate student in Architecture or Planning. Strong interest historic preservation and architecture. Ability to safeguard confidential and sensitive information. Ability to effectively research, analyze and communicate graphically and in writing. Microsoft Office knowledge (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Creativity and Flexibility. Organized, with an ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments.
