Peerless Pump Company, an Indianapolis based subsidiary of Grundfos, is seeking a Fire Sales & Marketing Intern for its Summer 2024 Intern Program.
The Fire Sales & Marketing Intern will report to VP Fire Business Unit and will base out of the Indianapolis, IN facility (hybrid: onsite 2 days, remote 3 days).
Summer Interns at Peerless Pump are given opportunities to participate in department projects with the goal to help expand their technical education and aid in completion of projects. The FireConnect Sales & Marketing Intern will be responsible for enriching FireConnect leads and marketing efforts for our IOT remote monitoring solution, FireConnect. You will interface with our Sales & Marketing teams to review and find potential leads, creating marketing personas, and deliver content and sales initiation. This role will be forward customer facing with the opportunity to work through all aspects of the Sales & Marketing funnel. At the end of the term, Interns will prepare a project status report to present to senior management within the company to explain impact of their project and receive direct feedback on performance.
Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.

What is the job about?
As our Fire Sales & Marketing Intern, you will help drive sales by creating a pipeline of potential clients through marketing and prospecting to significantly raise awareness of FireConnect and Fire System Remote Monitoring, Entytle, ZoomInfo will be a daily part of your job and the ability to think critically across differing personas will be critical to understand to whom we market.
Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities
Lead generation through customer discovery and target personal research
Help sales build a target client base to market toward
Review marketing personas and help curate content
Create initial outreach campaigns to selected prospects
Utilize Entytle, ZoomInfo, Salesforce Salescloud and Marketing Cloud for delivery
Key Success Factors
Build a robust pipeline of potential future clients using tools like Zoominfo, Trade Lists and more
Enrich Salesforce data with potential target clients
Trial ZoomInfo
Help build our persona portfolio to tail messaging
Understand the product offering and how we market to differing personas
Posting, Reporting, and Work Relations
This position will sit within the Fire Business Unit. Reporting directly to the VP Fire Business Unit, with functional reporting and support from the Digital Sales Manager, Pump Sales, & Marketing. You will further our efforts to bring full awareness of the Fire Business Unit to the Canadian market through targeted and creative marketing campaigns and other areas as directed.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Working towards a B.S. in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications, Technical Sales (or equivalent) from an accredited university *incoming 2nd to 4th year preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
Must be detailed oriented and possess excellent follow up skills
Person must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
Competencies
Fluent in English [verbal and written]
Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving team environment
Ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Candidates should be able to maintain valid identification
Comfortable speaking with potential customers at all different levels of an organization’s hierarchy
Work Conditions
Computer Usage may be required up to 90% of the time.
English language competency will be required.
