Description We are in search of a Collections Specialist based in Indianapolis, Indiana. This role involves working closely with customer accounts, reporting on Accounts Receivable, and employing excellent communication skills for both written and verbal correspondence. You will be expected to provide solid customer service and resolve collection issues. This position offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a portfolio of accounts, ensuring timely collection of payments

• Report on Accounts Receivable and aged accounts that are 60 days or less

• Employ both written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with customers

• Follow established processes and procedures for collections

• Use Microsoft Excel for data entry into already created reports

• Navigate between applications seamlessly

• Resolve collection issues through research, critical thinking, and customer service skills

• Utilize knowledge of collection processes and the credit industry to improve department efficiency

• Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining detail oriented collector standards. Requirements • Possession of strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

• Familiarity with Collection Processes is essential.

• Prior experience as a Collector is desirable.

• Understanding of Credit systems and management.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent Customer Service.

• Experience in Collections, particularly within a Consumer context.

• Ability to work effectively in a team and autonomously.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.

• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations relating to collections.

• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

• Willingness to continue learning and improving in the role.
