Controls Engineer Opportunity- Franklin, IN

Job Description

This company is seeking a seasoned Controls Engineer to join their expanding team. Their organization is a global leading supplier of magnet wire, with 16 facilities worldwide and over 2,300 employees. They primarily support the automotive, energy, industrial, and commercial and residential industries. Given the growth of the EV (electric vehicle) market, they have recently expanded the Franklin, Indiana facility by 60,000 square feet. As a Controls Engineer, you will provide technical factory support, be involved in the installation, integration, and commissioning of new automated equipment for our expansion sites. You will also be responsible for cross-functional work with other engineering departments, skilled trades, and project managers, and provide technical support for new industrial automated machinery.

Job Responsibilities:

• Hands-on troubleshooting of PLC applications (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron)

• Utilizing AutoCAD Electrical for the design of panels and schematics

• Programming and troubleshooting within Omron and Allen-Bradley PLCs

• Experience working with Ignition (SCADA platform)

Required Qualifications:

• Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation Engineering or related

• 5+ years of experience programming and troubleshooting with Omron and Allen Bradley PLCs

• 5+ years of utilizing AutoCAD for electrical designs/ schematics

• Experience working with Ignition (SCADA Platform)
