Job Description:
The primary responsibility of the bookkeeper will be maintaining financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts. Your expertise will be needed for preparing and analyzing budgets and performing general bookkeeping. You must also be experienced with clean up of backlogged reconciliations.
Responsibilities:
Maintain and manage all financial records
Prepare financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Handle payroll, accounts payable and receivable, tax payments, and bank reconciliations
Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure accuracy
Update, verify and maintain accounting journals and ledgers
Track and maintain inventory records
Manage intercompany transactions
Requirements
Requirements:
Proven bookkeeping experience, with a solid understanding of accounting principles
Experience with QuickBooks accounting software is a MUST
Experience with reconciliation, especially clearing up complex historical backlogs
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
Demonstrable ability to manage intercompany transactions and inventory
Proficient with data entry and management
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
The ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to handle confidential information
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Education:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
