VCA Animal Hospitals Ophthalmology Veterinary Technician in Fishers, Indiana

VCA Advanced Veterinary Care Center located in Fishers, IN offers a wide range of specialty, critical care and emergency services, and is looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician to join their Ophthalmology Service !

Our Ophthalmology Service:

Eye problems are some of the most common reasons owners bring their pet to the veterinarian. Specific eye problems can be challenging to diagnose and treat, which is where our Ophthalmology service steps in. Our services and medical equipment mirror what one would find at a human medical center. Our Ophthalmologist's focus is to improve our patient's quality of life by providing effective treatment and support services.

Our Ophthalmology Veterinary Technician:

As a Registered Veterinary Technician and a member of our Ophthalmology team, you will be responsible for providing care to patients in conjunction with our Ophthalmologist. Responsibilities of the technician include exam rooms, diagnostics, prescription management, client education, anesthetic/surgical procedures, safe patient handling, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT, CVT, LVT) or eligible to sit for the VTNE within 6 months

  • Experience with Anesthesia

Schedule: Full-time opportunity with flexible scheduling. We utilize a 4 x 10 hour shift schedule.

Compensation: $20 - 32/hr

Starting range is determined by skill set and years of experience in the field. Financial growth opportunities available.
