The role of the Regional Sales requires the ability to develop and execute a territory business plan to drive growth of Bennington Marine products. Keys to success are being able to; maximize Bennington market share within an assigned territory by expanding share of wallet in existing dealers, expanding the dealer network, and cultivating under-performing dealers as required. Use data to proactively work with dealers and prospects to ensure Bennington Marine is properly represented in each market within the territory. Provide product recommendations, technical training, and boat show support as needed.
Territories include: DC, MD, DE, NJ, RI, CT, MA, NY, VT, NH, ME
Requirements
Minimum five years regional sales experience with an OEM
Travels up to 75% of the time including overnight stays and weekends during boat show season
Boating product knowledge and industry experience
Track record of building strong relationships with dealer networks
Sales process experience
Value selling experience
Proven track record of sustained market growth year over year
Experience working with multinational companies
Ability to communicate well upstream and downstream within an organization
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and interpersonal skills
Strong working relationships with team and senior management
Detail oriented
Ability to manage multiple tasks and interruptions
Other Skills/Abilities
B.A. degree from an accredited college or university
Experienced developing channel plans resulting in share growth.
Experience in developing and implementing strategies based on competitive knowledge,
Market trends and business opportunities.
Proven track record of sustained market growth in the boating industry
Language Skills
Respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints
Write product presentations, articles, with original or innovative techniques or style
Ability to make clear and effective presentations
Reasoning Ability
Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables
