Overview
The Financial Analyst 1 - Travel & Expenses (T&E) will manage and carry out the activities of all T&E areas in NAM, including expense report auditing/monitoring, corporate card processing, supporting employees with expense reporting queries and T&E reporting and analysis. This role will be required to collaborate with internal partners and stakeholders to identify & propose T&E process improvements that will drive efficiencies.
Responsibilities
Manage the T&E audit process in NAM to perform pre and post payment audits ensuring compliance to company policies and ensuring expenses are approved effectively and employees reimbursed timely.
Communicate with employees to obtain additional information, supporting documentation or clarification on T&E transactions.
Report on and escalate T&E issues to Management/E&C/HR.
Provide support via phone/email to employees on T&E processes and tools.
Responsible for employee T&E profile creation and maintenance in Concur.
Import and process employee expenses into the Finance system.
Coordinate training on the T&E system for all new and existing NAM employees.
Manage the Corporate Credit Card processing and maintenance.
Manage the Personal expense process & posting payments received.
Manage the timely submission of expenses and process for 70 day notices.
Act as back-up for other team tasks
Responsible for Month-end tasks includingT&E Accruals, T&E Analysis, KPI's and account reconciliations.
Complete weekly, monthly and ad-hoc T&E reporting.
Review processes and results to ensure transactions have been recorded consistently and accurately.
Paticipate in interim and end of year audits.
Work closely with T&E team to manage, improve and streamline processes.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in accounting, finance or business.
Prior experience in shared service environment or accounting area preferred.
Experience with general ledger, reporting software packages, eg business intelligence software
Experience with Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook.
Strong attention to details and data accuracy.
Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels of the global organization.
Ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision.
Must have effective oral, written and presentation communication skills.
