TheProject Manager - Federalwill be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects. They will collaborate with multiple stakeholders and teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget while meeting quality standards. They will be focused on ensuring the team is working on the right things at the right time, escalating concerns, and establishing great working relationships.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Client Relationship Management:
    • Build a great relationship with the client
    • Understand our clients: drivers, needs, and pains
    • Facilitate client interactions to curate positive and productive outcomes
    • First point of contact to help team understand the client
      • Relay the client's perspective
      • Act as the voice of the client
      • Consolidate and simplify client interaction points
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular project updates, progress reports, and addressing any concerns or feedback
    • Clearly and promptly communicate changes in project requirements or hours projections to stakeholders as appropriate
    • Work with leadership and engineering teams to formulate the best and consistent client communication
    • Support growth initiatives by capturing information to help inform business development
  • Project Planning:
    • Lead the planning phase of projects, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
    • Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets
    • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan
    • Manage contracts with government agencies and vendors by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
    • Contribute to onsite, client quarterly PI planning meetings
  • Team and Resource Management:
    • Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, ensuring alignment, engagement, and collaboration
    • Allocate resources, including personnel, resources and materials, to ensure successful project execution
    • Coordinate with department managers to secure necessary resources
    • Help the Delivery Section Leads to predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
  • Risk and Change Management:
    • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions
    • Proactively address issues that may arise during the project lifecycle
    • Manage changes to project scope, schedule, and budget effectively, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned
    • Follow Trek10s established or clients change management practices and checklists
    • Evaluate the impact of changes and adjust plans accordingly
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency gains within the project management function
    • Implement best practices and lessons learned from previous projects
    • Working with all stak holders problem solve for any blockers, unexpected things that challenge a projects previous expectations
    • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, schedules, budgets, and status reports.
    • Ensure that all project documentation is organized and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 4+ years experience as a Project Manager or similar role, managing complex projects from initiation to closure
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools, such as Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and traditional waterfall
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools
  • Ability to acquire an External Certification Authorities (ECA) certificate within 30 days of start
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must be living in or commutable to Montgomery, Alabama to regularly (multiple days a week) meet with clients

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, engineering, computer science, or related discipline
  • Working knowledge of DoD policies, regulations, procedures, and processes
  • Experience in the technology industry or related field
  • Experience with professional services or consulting
  • Project management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, etc.)
  • External Certification Authorities (ECA) certificate
